Woman struck, killed by Amtrak train identified

Friday, 11 December 2009 12:37 by Admin

The person hit and killed last night by a Seattle and Portland-bound Amtrak train has been identified as a 43-year-old Grayslake woman.

Teresa Spradlin, of the 200 block of Station Park Circle, appears to have been meeting someone at the West Lake Forest train station and may have miscalculated the time she had to get across the track, Lake County Coroner Richard Keller said.

The incident occurred at about 5:20 p.m. and Spradlin was pronounced dead at the scene at about 6 p.m., Keller said.

There are reports that two other people were injured during the incident, Keller said.
