University Park, Illinois - Two women were hurt Tuesday afternoon in a three-vehicle crash involving a Pace bus in south suburban University Park, authorities said. At 1:30 p.m., a Pace bus carrying two passengers stopped at a bus stop at University Parkway and TownCenter Drive, University Park Fire Chief Chuck Exner said.
The bus was in the westbound lane, with one car stopped behind it, when another car pushed the middle vehicle into the bus, Exner said.
The drivers of both cars were taken to St. James Hospital & Health Center in Olympia Fields, Exner said.Their conditions are unknown,
but their injuries appeared minor, said Exner, who would not release the identities of any people involved in the crash.
Both passengers on the bus refused medical attention.
University Park police could not be reached for comment.
