Two dead in Sunday Indiana crash

(WINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ind.) A 74-year-old Hebron woman and an 82-year-old man died Sunday when a car hit a tree, according to the Lake County, Ind. coroner's office and the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

Cecelia Christensen, of the 100 block of Poplar Court, was killed when the car in which she was riding hit a tree, according to a Lake County Coroner's office spokesman.

The Lake County coroner was called to the 11800 block of Randolph Street in unincorporated Winfield Township at 11:47 a.m., according to the spokesman.

William Christensen, 82, of unidentified address in Indiana was pronounced dead at 4:35 p.m. Sunday at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn after a motor vehicle accident at 118th and Randolph in Lake County, Indiana, according to a spokeswoman for the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

The Lake County Sheriff's Department could not be reached for comment.
