Emergency crews are on the scene of a crash involving an SUV and a CTA bus near Pulaski and Chicago Avenues on Chicago's West Side.
The crash happened just before 2 p.m. when an SUV eaded north on Pulaski went into the opposite lane of traffic and collided with a southbound No. 53 Pulaski bus, said Catherine Hosinski, a CTA spokeswoman.
Eight passengers and the bus driver were taken to local hospitals with minor injuries, officials said. There was no redirection of bus routes as a result of the crash, Hosinski said.
Both bus and the SUV, a black Ford Expedition, sustained heavy front-end damage.
