A southwest suburban Palos Hills man died Saturday after driving into a median or viaduct on the Southwest Side Friday night.
Donald Poole, 62, of Palos Hills was pronounced dead at Advocate Christ Medical Center at 4:23 a.m. Saturday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The crash happened on Friday at about 8 p.m. at 3601 W. Marquette Road, News Affairs Office Amina Greer said. The man struck a viaduct or median and was taken in critical condition to the hospital.
The cause for the crash has not been determined and police Major Accidents Investigation Unit is investigating, Greer said.
An autopsy is scheduled for Sunday.
