A girl was hurt in an accident involving three vehicles late Saturday on the inbound Kennedy Expressway (I-90) on the Northwest Side.

The crash occurred about 11 p.m. eastbound on I-90 near North Nagle Avenue, according to Illinois State Police District Chicago Master Sgt. Joe Stangl.

A juvenile female -- her exact age was not available -- was injured when the vehicle in which she was a passenger crashed into two other vehicles, Stangl said. The girl suffered facial injuries when her face hit the windshield, he said. She was taken in an unknown condition to Resurrection Medical Center.

The driver, a juvenile male, was issued a traffic citation for reckless driving. He was driving too fast and passing cars on the shoulder, Stangl said.
