Six people were taken to area hospitals this morning following a traffic crash in the South Side's Grand Crossing neighborhood, according to the Chicago Fire Department.

The most seriously hurt victim was taken in serious-to-critical condition to Jackson Park Hospital, said Fire Department spokesman Richard Rosado. The other five were taken to St. Bernard Hospital--two in fair-to-serious condition, the rest in good condition.

Rosado did not know the ages or genders of the victims.

Rosado said the crash happened about 8:15 a.m. in the 900 block of East 75th Street.

He did not know how many vehicles were involved, and a Chicago police spokesman could not immediately provide any details.
