1 killed, 2 hurt in Will Cook crash

A 70-year-old woman was killed and two men were injured in a head-on collision Thursday at 133rd Street and Will Cook Road, authorities said.
Assistant Fire Chief Robert Knez, of the Palos Fire Protection District, said the woman had to be extricated from the van, which collided with a pick-up just before 10 a.m. Authorities would not say who was at fault in the crash.
All three were taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. The woman died of her injuries at 10:25 a.m., the Cook County sheriff's office said. One male, who was a passenger in the van, was in good condition. The driver of the pick-up was in fair condition, Knez said. Both vehicles were heavily damaged. Cook County sheriff's police were investigating the crash.
